I've always had Bibles with red letters signifying the words spoken by God and Jesus.  I thought that would be a nice feature.  The red text would need to have some kind of shadow or effect to make it stand out some.  Or, a high contrast version with a black background with red and white text.  That way, you don't have a bright shining light illuminating your face while sitting in church.
