Faith Comes By Hearing Receives Highest 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator for Fifth Consecutive Year

Audio Bible ministry recognized as ‘exceptional’ – in top 4% of all charities – by leading charity evaluator in America

Albuquerque, N.M. – Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) is pleased to announce they have again been awarded the prestigious 4-star rating from Charity Navigator – the country’s leading evaluator of charities.  Being recognized for the fifth straight year elevates the ministry into the top 4% of all charities which, according to Charity Navigator, means FCBH “outperforms most other charities in America” and “demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

In his notification letter, Charity Navigator’s President and CEO Ken Berger writes:

We are proud to announce Hosanna/Faith Comes By Hearing has earned our fifth consecutive 4-star rating.  Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way.

This recognition is especially meaningful to Faith Comes By Hearing as Charity Navigator evaluates 10 times the number of charities than the next closest organization and draws more visitors to their website than every other charity evaluator combined.  Their two-part methodology – which focuses on sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency – has been covered by Forbes, Business Week and Kiplinger’s Financial Magazine.  Charity Navigator estimates their evaluations have “influenced approximately $10 billion in charitable gifts.”

Jerry Jackson, FCBH’s founder and president, states, “It has always been our priority to be good stewards with every donation given to complete our mission.  The best way to ensure accountability is to be open with our finances.  As an outside and impartial evaluator, Charity Navigator’s continued recognition of our transparency and fiscal responsibility is testimony to our current and prospective donors that they are giving to a ministry that is using their funds wisely.”

As Faith Comes By Hearing celebrates their 40th year in ministry throughout 2012, the ministry remains focused on providing God’s Word in an audio format to every nation, tribe, village and tongue.  They currently have Audio Scriptures in 627 languages that can be freely accessed on their website, via podcasts in their iTunes store, or on their free Bible app known as Bible.is.

Hi there Barbara1027,

I am sorry to hear you need to delete the Bible.is app.  Is there anything we might be able to help you with to make sure the app is functioning properly?  Let us know we would be glad to assist you.

Try a force close first with these steps:

If iOS:
1. Double tap the home key, so you see the list of running apps.
2. Find Bible.is and tap to hold it until it wiggles.
3. Now tap the red minus to quit the app.
4. Go ahead and reboot your phone.
5. Once it is back up and running, then open up the app again, like normal.

If Android:
1) Go to the main phone menu and tap your menu button
2) Select "Settings" and then "Applications"
3) Select "Manage Applications" and select "Bible.is"
4) Select "Force Stop" and then re-open the Bible.is application.

To Delete on iOS:
1. Tap on the Bible.is icon until it wiggles.
2. Then Select the "X" in the top left corner of the icon to delete it.
3. It might bring you a confirmation message. Just agree to that and it should be all gone.

To Delete on Android:

Follow the Force Close steps but select Uninstall instead of Force Close.

We hate to see you leave Bible.is, but let us know how we can help you to have a better Bible.is experience and we would be glad to assist.

Blessings,

Brian

Bible.is is truly a blessing. It would be such an added blessing if it were available in the King James Version. Is this possible? Please let me know. Thank you and may God bless. Lil Davis

Hello,

I am happy to tell you we do have King James Version on the Bible.is app and online version.  If you are using the app or online version, and you are looking at the Bible text, then tap or click the top left button that has a three lettered code, maybe ESV.  It will take you to the version screen or window.  Here you can look through the version list and select the Dramatized or Non-Dramatized  King James Version.

I hope this helps, but if you need further assistance, then I would send us an email back at support@Bible.is and we would be happy to assist you further.  It is always a pleasure to help others engage with God's Word in audio.  Blessings to you

Brian
