Bible.is on my SD Card?

The Audio portion of the Bible streams in from the internet to your device by wi-fi or your data plan. The Bible.is app will download from the Android Market or similar app download store to your phone.  Currently the app will not download to the phones SD card, we do not recommend this step.  The reason for this is because if any maintenance has been done to the app, adding languages, fixing bugs, etc., then you will not receive those changes unless you delete it from your SD card, and reinstall the app.  This is due to some text and copyright reasons that we must abide by.  I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you but feel free to download our Audio Bibles from Faith Comes By Hearing if you like.

You can do this either from the Faith Comes By Hearing store page:http://www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/store/languageconfig,  or from the Audio Bible Ambassador program page:

http://www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/ambassador/how-does-it-work.

This process may change in the future, so please stay tuned for Bible.is updates that will allow for new and enhanced features.  Again, we appreciate your time and patience as we work to bring you an immersive Bible experience.  Feel free to contact our Bible.is support team  with your questions, comments and suggestions.

If you're running Android 2.2.1 (Froyo) or higher you can move the app to your SD card through Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications... Select the Bible.IS app and press "Move to SD."  If you're still on 2.1 (Eclair) then that option will not be available.  Everything should re-route to the SD card since the program will be running from that drive.  I would try it out and confirm everything, but version 1.7 continues to force close after the update.

Thank you for letting me know about this.  I know any updates that are done to the app will not be automatically put on your Android SD card unless you download it to your phone and then manually put it on your SD card.

As far as the force close I would try these steps:

1) Go to the main phone menu and tap your menu button

2) Select "Settings" and then "Applications"

3) Select "Manage Applications" and select "Bible.is"

4) Select "Force Stop" and then re-open the Bible.is application.

Hopefully, performing this minor procedure will eliminate any errors or glitches that are preventing you from hearing the audio.  If this does not work I would recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the app.  Please let me know if this works for you!

Thank you for your patience as we process through our "growing pains".  Let me know if you have any other questions and I would be glad to help you out.

Blessings,
Brian
