Bible.is on my SD Card?

Brian -

The Bible.is app is a self-contained app. When downloaded from the app, the audio files are stored on your device within the app and they are not programmed to be handled in separation from the app itself, not even when moved to your SD card. That's due to our commitment to our partners and text holders who allow us to use these Bibles for various digital distribution platforms. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

You still can move the whole app into your SD card if you like. Once the app is on your device, you can change where you want it to reside, if you have an SD card option.  We recommend you seek support from your device's support site and/or your operating systems support site (i.e Google, Samsung, HTC, Apple, etc.), but here are some quick tips that you may try, from us.

 1. Go to your devices "SETTINGS"

2. Go to APPS or APPLICATIONS

3. Go to Bible.is

4. Here you will be able to see an area to 'move the app to your SD card' or to 'move the app to your phone'

This process may change in the future, so please stay tuned for Bible.is updates that will allow for new and enhanced features.  Again, we appreciate your time and patience as we work to bring a great Bible experience.  Let us know if you have further questions or ideas, as we love to hear from you.

If you would like to have the Audio Bible on your device for offline use, I would suggest checking out this link in our Forum.

Thank you for letting me know about this.  I know any updates that are done to the app will not be automatically put on your Android SD card unless you download it to your phone and then manually put it on your SD card.

As far as the force close I would try these steps:

    1) Go to the main phone menu and tap your menu button

    2) Select "Settings" and then "Applications"

    3) Select "Manage Applications" and select "Bible.is"

    4) Select "Force Stop" and then re-open the Bible.is application.

Hopefully, performing this minor procedure will eliminate any errors or glitches that are preventing you from hearing the audio.  If this does not work I would recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the app.  Please let me know if this works for you!

Thank you for your patience as we process through our "growing pains".  Let me know if you have any other questions and I would be glad to help you out.

    Blessings,

    Brian

If you're running Android 2.2.1 (Froyo) or higher you can move the app to your SD card through Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications... Select the Bible.IS app and press "Move to SD."  If you're still on 2.1 (Eclair) then that option will not be available.  Everything should re-route to the SD card since the program will be running from that drive.  I would try it out and confirm everything, but version 1.7 continues to force close after the update.
